Amsterdam is located in the western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Known to many for its canals and bicycles, it is a city of cyclists, and to a visitor it may even seem like there are more bicycles than people. Amsterdam has had a strong tradition as a centre of culture and commerce and with world-class museums and theatre, to laid-back bars and wonderful restaurants, there's never a shortage of things to do in Amsterdam. For further information on what Amsterdam has to offer, please visit The Amsterdam City Portal website at: http://www.iamsterdam.com. The website offers a wide variety of things to do whilst in Amsterdam and provides information on the local area.
