ESPGHAN provides platforms for oral and poster presentations of scientific findings, usually submitted in abstract form, at its annual conferences and other meetings. These presentations should focus on the presentation and discussion of scientific data and not in any way be abused for marketing or advertising purposes. Any financial support by commercial companies and any other ties to commercial companies such as employment and honoraria must be transparently disclosed. The use of brand names of commercial products should be avoided, unless the disclosure of brand names is necessary for the understanding of the abstract or presentation in which case the brand name should not be used more than once. The name of companies linked to the research should be disclosed but no company logos should be used in scientific presentations in order to avoid even the suspicion of undue promotional activities.
Posters for display must include a Conflict of Interest in the summary text and for oral presentations this must be included in the first two slides of the presentation. We also ask that no commercial logos are shown within posters or presentations.
The Conflict of Interest slides for inclusion in all oral presentations can be downloaded here.
Poster Instructions can be downloaded here providing all presenters with size and formats for their posters.
(Including Posters of Distinction Sessions)
Instructions for Oral Abstract Communications can be downloaded here.
Oral abstracts within symposia and abstracts accepted for Poster of Distinction oral presentation are each allocated 10 minutes (7 minutes presentation plus 3 minutes questions) within the programme.
The official meeting language will be English. All submitted abstracts, full papers, general correspondence and meeting sessions will also be in English.
